Dear Webmaster & Marketer,
Some people will tell you that any traffic is good traffic but they are the ones who are most likely trying to sell you something you don't need. The fact is that the only good traffic is targeted traffic. Any other kinds of traffic is useless. Period.
The kind of traffic that you MUST need on your website is the people who have their credit cards at the ready and are actually looking to buy what you are selling.
That cuts through all the fluffs, hypes and myths about traffic generation, huh? Incidentally, this happens to be the most problematic part for any new web site and Internet Business startups.
And I have a couple of sneaky suspicions that:

  • You're struggling to drive in quality traffic into your website(s) - you've probably already set up your web site, proofread your web pages one by one, double checked your download and image links plus a gazillion of other tasks. Hey, maybe you even optimized some of your keywords on your web pages because a friend or a book on Search Engine Optimization told you so. But none of those brought you the kind of traffic you need.

  • You're not making much money, if any at all - no offense intended, but I'm not surprised since the culprit behind this disaster is none other than the lack of targeted traffic!

  • You're on a shoe-string budget - high chances are that you don't have enough money right now to even gamble your chances with Pay-Per-Click campaigns. And to count on it to give your site traffic is like walking into an eye clinic to get blood for your body. Maybe you spent a chunk of your fortune on starting your web site but didn't leave enough for financial mistakes. Perhaps you've got a bad money habit. Whatever the reason is, you don't have a lot of margin for error at this stage!
